What does "Apply Now" do on Growth and Agency?

How the one-click Apply Now feature works, what actions it can execute, and the safety guardrails that protect your campaigns.

What does "Apply Now" do on Growth and Agency?

Apply Now is available on Growth and Agency plans. It lets Campaiyn execute a recommendation directly on your Meta ad account through the Meta Marketing API -- no need to open Meta Ads Manager yourself.

What Apply Now can do

Apply Now can execute a range of actions depending on the recommendation type:

  • Pause an underperforming ad set or ad -- stops delivery without deleting
  • Adjust a campaign or ad set budget -- increases or decreases spend allocation
  • Enable a paused ad -- re-activates an ad that was paused
  • Switch the optimization event on an ad set (where supported by Meta's API)

Each recommendation displays whether it is eligible for Apply Now. Recommendations that require creative changes, audience edits, or actions Meta's API does not support will still appear as manual recommendations.

How it works step by step

  1. Open the Recommendations page in your dashboard
  2. Find a recommendation with the Apply Now button
  3. Review the recommendation details, including the specific change that will be made
  4. Click Apply Now
  5. Campaiyn sends the change to Meta's API
  6. The action is confirmed and logged in your activity history

Note

Apply Now is per-recommendation. You review and approve each action individually. There is no "apply all" mode -- every change requires your explicit click.

Safety guardrails

All Apply Now budget changes are subject to guardrails to prevent runaway spend or unexpected cuts:

| Change type | Guardrail | |---|---| | Budget increase | Maximum 20% increase per action | | Budget decrease | Maximum 50% decrease per action | | Pausing ad sets | No limit (pausing is non-destructive) | | Enabling paused ads | No limit |

These guardrails prevent a single recommendation from dramatically scaling your spend or cutting a budget to near-zero without your awareness.

Important

Even with guardrails active, review each recommendation before clicking Apply Now. The AI analyzes patterns at scale, but you have context the AI does not -- such as a planned promotion, a seasonal campaign, or a budget agreement with a client.

Reviewing and reversing actions

Every Apply Now action is logged in your Activity History (accessible from the dashboard). The log shows:

  • What change was made
  • Which campaign or ad set was affected
  • The timestamp of the action
  • Before and after values (for budget changes)

For reversible actions (like re-enabling a paused ad set), you can undo directly from the activity log. For budget changes, you can manually adjust the budget back in Meta Ads Manager if needed.

Apply Now vs. Mark as Done

| Feature | Free/Starter | Growth/Agency | |---|---|---| | Apply changes | Manually in Meta Ads Manager | Via Apply Now button | | Confirm changes | Mark as Done | Automatic (API confirms) | | Action log | Manual history via Mark as Done | Full API action log | | Guardrails | N/A (manual) | Budget change caps |

On Free and Starter, you are always in the loop making changes yourself. Apply Now adds automation on top, with guardrails to keep it safe.
